Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Mysteries in Time. These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, products, and subscription services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Mysteries in Time (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

By accessing the Service, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to enter into a subscription. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must purchase on your behalf.

Definitions

  • Subscription means a recurring purchase of one of our history boxes or magazines.
  • Billing Cycle means the recurring period during which subscription charges are processed (e.g., monthly, quarterly, or annually).
  • Box means the physical educational product shipped under a Subscription.
  • Account means the customer account you create to manage your Subscription.

Account Responsibilities

When you create an Account, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information, including a valid shipping address, email address, and payment method.

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your Account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your Account.
  • You agree to keep your shipping and payment information up to date. We are not responsible for delivery failures or failed payments caused by outdated information.
  • We may suspend or terminate Accounts that contain false information, are used fraudulently, or breach these Terms.

Subscriptions & Billing

Pricing & Currency

All prices are listed in GBP unless otherwise stated and are inclusive of applicable VAT where required. Shipping fees, where applicable, are shown at checkout before you confirm your order.

Billing Cycles

Your Subscription will be billed at the start of each Billing Cycle using the payment method on file. The available cycles (e.g., monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months, or annually) are displayed on the product page at the time of purchase.

Payment Authorisation

By providing a payment method, you authorise us (and our payment processor) to charge that method for all fees associated with your Subscription, including renewal fees, taxes, and shipping costs, until you cancel.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, pause your Subscription, and send you a notice. If the issue is not resolved, we may suspend or cancel your Subscription without further notice.

Auto-Renewal

Your Subscription is set to renew automatically. Unless you cancel before the end of your current Billing Cycle, your Subscription will renew for the same term and your payment method will be charged the then-current renewal price.

  • We will send a renewal reminder by email before each charge where required by law.
  • Renewal prices may differ from the introductory price you originally paid; the renewal price will always be displayed in your Account before the charge.
  • You can disable auto-renewal at any time from your Account dashboard.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your Subscription at any time through your customer account or by contacting us at info@mysteriesintime.com.

  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current Billing Cycle. You will continue to receive any Boxes already paid for.
  • To avoid being charged for the next Billing Cycle, you must cancel before the renewal date shown in your Account.
  • Pre-paid plans (e.g., 6-month or annual plans) cannot be partially refunded for unused months once shipping has begun, except where required by law.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or refuse Subscriptions at our discretion, including in cases of fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms.

Refund Policy

We want you to love every Box. If something is wrong with your order, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your Box arrives damaged, defective, or with missing items, we will replace it free of charge or issue a refund once we've received photographic evidence of the issue.

Change of Mind

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel a non-personalised Box within 14 days of receiving it for a refund of the product price (excluding return shipping). Boxes must be returned unused and in their original condition.

Non-Refundable Items

  • Digital downloads, gift cards, and personalised items.
  • Boxes that have already shipped at the time of cancellation.
  • Pre-paid plans where Boxes have already been dispatched, except where required by law.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of approval.

Shipping & Delivery

Boxes are shipped on a recurring schedule based on your Billing Cycle and our dispatch calendar. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and in your Account.

  • Shipping fees, where applicable, are calculated at checkout based on your destination.
  • Risk of loss passes to you once the Box has been delivered to the address provided.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure your shipping address is accurate and up to date. Re-shipping fees may apply for parcels returned due to incorrect addresses.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, severe weather, or other events outside our reasonable control.
  • International orders may be subject to customs duties and import taxes, which are the customer's responsibility.

Gift Subscriptions

Gift Subscriptions are billed in full at the time of purchase and do not auto-renew. The recipient is not required to provide payment information. Once a gift Subscription has shipped, it is non-refundable except in the case of damaged or faulty items.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and cancel your Subscription.

You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any such dispute, except that consumers resident in another part of the UK or the EU may also bring proceedings in their local courts where required by mandatory local law.
