Welcome to Mysteries in Time. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”, or “Customer”) and Mysteries in Time Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”), the operator of the website and subscription service.

By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using our website or services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to purchase a subscription or product from us. Subscriptions for children should be set up and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

• “Service” means the Mysteries in Time website, subscription boxes, one-time products and any related services we provide.
• “Subscription” means any recurring plan you purchase that automatically renews and delivers products on a regular schedule until cancelled.
• “Order” means any purchase you place through our Service, including subscriptions, gifts and one-time purchases.
• “Account” means the customer profile you create to manage your subscriptions, deliveries and billing details.
• “Content” means all text, images, magazines, stories, illustrations and other materials made available through the Service.

To purchase a subscription you will need to create an Account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep your details up to date, including your delivery address and payment method.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any Account that contains inaccurate information, is used in breach of these Terms, or is involved in fraudulent or abusive behaviour.

Billing cycles

Subscriptions are offered on monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and annual billing cycles, depending on the plan you choose. The billing cycle starts on the day you place your order and recurs on the same date for each subsequent period.

Auto-renewal

Unless otherwise stated, all subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price using the payment method on file. By starting a subscription you authorise us to charge that payment method on a recurring basis until the subscription is cancelled.

Free trials and promotions

From time to time we may offer free trials, introductory discounts or promotional pricing. Unless stated otherwise, at the end of a free trial your subscription will continue at the standard price and your payment method will be charged automatically. Promotional offers cannot be combined and are limited to one per household.

Gift subscriptions

Gift subscriptions are pre-paid for a fixed number of shipments and do not auto-renew once the gift period ends. The recipient may choose to start their own subscription at the end of the gift term.

All prices are displayed in your selected currency and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs are calculated and shown at checkout based on your delivery address.

We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods listed at checkout. By submitting payment details you warrant that you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.

We reserve the right to change the price of any subscription or product at any time. Price changes affecting an existing subscription will not take effect until the next billing cycle and we will give you reasonable notice in advance.

If a payment fails we may retry the charge, pause or cancel the subscription, and contact you to update your payment method.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Account area. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, please cancel before your renewal date. Cancellation will stop future renewals but will not refund any current billing period already in progress.

Refunds

For pre-paid plans, we are happy to refund any unsent boxes if you contact us within a reasonable timeframe. Boxes that have already shipped or been produced for you cannot be refunded.

Where required by law (including the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations), you may have a right to a 14-day cooling-off period from the day your first box is delivered. This right does not apply to personalised goods or items that have been unsealed and cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

Damaged or missing items

If your order arrives damaged or items are missing, please contact us at info@mysteriesintime.com within 14 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

We ship to most countries worldwide. Delivery times and shipping costs depend on your destination and are confirmed at checkout. Most subscription boxes are dispatched on a consistent schedule each month.

Risk of loss for any item passes to you upon delivery to the address provided. You are responsible for ensuring your delivery address is accurate and accessible. We are not liable for failed deliveries caused by incorrect addresses or for parcels marked as delivered by the carrier.

Customers outside the country of dispatch may be responsible for any import duties, taxes or fees imposed by their local authorities.

All products and subscription content are subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute items of equivalent value, change the contents of upcoming boxes, or discontinue a product at any time without prior notice.

Where a product is no longer available after you have placed an order, we will notify you and offer a replacement or refund for the affected item.

All Content provided through the Service, including text, illustrations, characters, magazines, stories, photographs, logos and trade marks, is owned by or licensed to Mysteries in Time Ltd and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Content for personal, non-commercial use within your household or classroom. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify or create derivative works from our Content without our prior written permission.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• Resell, redistribute or commercially exploit our products or Content without our written consent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other Accounts or any related infrastructure.
• Submit false, misleading or abusive content, including in reviews, surveys or communications with our team.
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy or interfere with the Service.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work hard to produce accurate, high-quality educational materials, we make no warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or meet specific learning outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mysteries in Time Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to your subscription is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mysteries in Time Ltd, its officers, employees and partners from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute, save that nothing in these Terms shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements or business practices. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active subscribers by email.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes you should stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription.
